3DS Max is a 3D modeling program that for most schools that deal with the digital arts, is a required program. 3DS has a nice user interface, everything is fairly easy to find in terms of tools and is a very handing program to make 3D models. This would all be wonderful if it didn't take a century and an half to open the thing, I have a fairly recent Dell laptop that can run smoothly with a crap ton of windows open, but once I double click 3DS it decides to go up in flames. This is worsen due to the fact that this year in Digital design and animation II, 3DS is the primary focus for assignments. The school computers are pretty outdated, so every time I boot up Max, I have to watch go through it's life cycle of starting, crashing, opening, then crashing again for a long time. If you haven't gathered yet, I don't like this program, I don't like the long boot up and the constant crashing, in fact it's happened so many times that I now think that 3DS Max has to crash for it to work.
