Originally only for the Wii U, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild landed as a launch game on the switch along side Super Mario Odyssey. BoTW was met with overwhelmingly positive reviews saying that this was game of the year, but if you take away The legend of Zelda name, what suppurates BotW from other open world RPGs? Besides the cartoony art style and a few gimmicks here and there, there is nothing gameplay wise that makes BotW side above other open world RPGs like Skyrim or the Witcher 3. Stories are a bit different but BotW and Skyrim both have the final boss be a enemy that you've fought a dozen times before and BotW and Witcher 3 both only let you fast travel to certain points in the map. Now let's look at the other launch title with BotW, Super Mario Odyssey, and see what makes that game different from other Platformers. Odyssey is a platformer with different worlds and an bunch of collectibles scattered around the map, now the only comparison I could think of were the old Banjo Kazooie games back in the N64 era. Odyssey in it's genre is something similar to something from the past, while BotW does nothing to really make it stand out in it's genre. Now I do applaud Nintedo for making bold changes to there old IPs, but I feel that could've done more to really make Breath of the Wild stand out from the rest.

In digital design and animation, I made this website, it was mostly just a blog just to be graded and that pretty much it. But as much as I get into making games and taking it more seriously, the more professional this portfolio has to be. Now I already remade my site, this isn't how it always looked, I had to completely scrapped the old one and make this from the ground up. The portfolio is in a sense, a glorified resume with pictures, which isn't a bad thing, I feel like portfolios are more easier to make than a resume and is a better way to present your career skills as well as artwork. One can argue that an portfolio can completely make a resume obsolete as in portfolios, you can put recent artwork, your skills, blog posts, and the about me section is basically the body of a cover letter, so one can argue that you don't need a cover letter either.
